Procedures of Using the Health Wing of BLSC, Bogura

The Health Wing of BIAM Laboratory School & College (BLSC), Bogura provides medical support and first aid services to ensure the physical well-being and safety of all students and staff. The following procedures must be followed while using the Health Wing:

1. Access and Permission

  • Students who feel unwell or injured during school hours must inform their class teacher immediately.

  • The class teacher will issue a Health Wing Permission Slip or verbal approval for the student to visit the Health Wing.

  • In emergency cases, students may be taken directly to the Health Wing by any nearby teacher or staff member.

2. Registration and Record Keeping

  • Upon arrival, students must enter their name, class, section, and reason for visit in the Health Wing Register.

  • The attending health officer or nurse will record the diagnosis, treatment provided, and any medicine administered.

3. Treatment and Care

  • Only the authorized health personnel are allowed to provide first aid or medication.

  • In case of serious illness or injury, the guardian will be contacted immediately, and the student may be referred to a nearby hospital.

  • Students must rest in the Health Wing only for the recommended duration and return to class after the health officer’s approval.

4. Emergency Situations

  • In case of accidents, sudden illness, or injury on campus:

    • The nearest teacher should inform the office and the Health Wing immediately.

    • The Health Wing will respond promptly with first aid or medical attention.

    • If necessary, the student will be escorted to a hospital, and parents will be informed right away.

5. Medication Policy

  • Students are not allowed to bring personal medication without prior approval.

  • Any prescribed medicine must be submitted to the Health Wing with written instructions from parents or a doctor.

6. Health Awareness and Check-ups

  • The Health Wing regularly organizes health awareness programsvaccination campaigns, and routine check-ups in collaboration with local health authorities.

  • Students are encouraged to participate actively in these programs to maintain good health practices.
